Nathalia Palis holds a B.A. in Music Therapy from the Berklee College of Music and a Masters in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Antioch University. She is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and Seeking Safety. Nathalia is licensed by the Board of Behavioral Sciences in California, Georgia and North Carolina, practicing in community mental health clinics as a therapist, intake assessment specialist and associate supervisor. As a Board Certified Music Therapist, Nathalia has worked in a variety of educational and clinical settings including hospital geriatric and oncology units, schools, nursing homes and treatment centers.

Born and raised in Barranquilla, Colombia, Nathalia came to the United States for college and later attained US citizenship. She is passionate about providing assistance to the immigrant community and is able to work with immigration lawyers or paralegals to provide the following types of evaluations: Asylum, Domestic Violence (VAWA), Cancellation of Removal, U-Visa, T-Visas and Extreme Hardship waivers. These assessments may help provide further documentation to immigration cases that demonstrate psychological, physical, financial and/or emotional impact of separating families through deportation or country re-location.

In addition to her work as a therapist, Nathalia leads workshops at schools and national early childhood conferences for parents and teachers on a wide range of topics ranging from mental health issues to the use of music in early childhood education.
